Man Charged in Armed Robbery in Holiday

The Identity of another man involved in the robbery is unknown.

A Holiday resident identified as one of two men who held up two occupants of an apartment on Hacienda Way last week has been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault and battery.

According to an affidavit from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Casey Hudson, 40, was charged Wednesday after he was arrested in a separate incident earlier in the day.

The identity of the other man involved in the armed robbery is unknown.

On June 21, Hudson, of 4809 Odyssey Ave., and the other man entered a Holiday apartment occupied by two men with their permission, according to the affidavit. The unidentified man with Hudson pointed a gun at one victim's head and removed items from the victim’s pockets while he was lying facedown on a bed.

In the meantime, Hudson approached the other victim as he exited the bathroom, according to an arrest report. The victim told deputies Hudson pointed a gun at him, and he tried to grab it. Hudson kicked him to the ground and then struck him in the face with the gun and talked about killing him, the victim told deputies. Hudson demanded a cell phone, but the victim lied and said he didn’t have one.

The robbers left the home, and Hudson was later identified from photos.

Hudson was booked into Land O’ Lakes Jail on Wednesday morning after deputies arrived at his home in response to a domestic violence call. He was charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment. He was later arrested again and charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
