Driver Dies On FL Highway After 1931 Ford’s Tire Blows Out, Vehicle Hits Tree
A Haines City man died after a tire on his 1931 Ford Custom blew out on I-75 and he was thrown from the vehicle, FL Highway Patrol said.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — An 84-year-old Haines City man died Thursday night after a tire on his 1931 Ford Custom blew out and he crashed on Interstate 75 in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
He was traveling north on the highway when his rear tire blew out at milepost 287, north of State Road 52, around 11:30 p.m.
After the blowout, the driver traveled into the highway’s shoulder and hit a tree, FHP said.

He was thrown from the vehicle on impact and died at the scene.
