Man Rages at Sub Joint, Hides Pot in Underwear

Pasco County deputies say the Holiday man made a scene and damaged property before getting arrested.

A man became enraged when he was asked to leave Great Subs restaurant at 1802 U.S. 19 in Holiday on Friday night, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

He began throwing items around the establishment and punching the soda fountain, according to an arrest report.  He also grabbed a table and pulled up on it, causing t to “break free” from the floor and wreaking $250 worth of damage, according to the arrest report.

Robert William Schulz, 52, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.

When he was being booked into the Land O’ Lakes jail, he was asked several times if he had contraband, according to another arrest report.  He told deputies “no.”

While later changing into jail clothing, he took a bag of marijuana out of his underwear and handed it to a deputy.  A deputy asked him why he said he didn't contraband. He told the deputy he “forgot,” the report said.

So deputies added introduction of contraband possession of marijuana and introduction of contraband onto his list of offensesSchulz, of 5113 Roundtree Ave., Holiday, remains in the Land O’ Lakes Jail.
