
A New Port Richey man shot inside Club Inferno early Friday morning is recovering at an undisclosed hospital, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
According to sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll, deputies responded to a 4:15 a.m. shooting at the after-hours club at 4527 U.S. 19 in the New Port Richey area.
No one from the club called 911 about the incident, a sheriff's office media release says.

The 28-year-old was shot once in the stomach and showed up at a local emergency room, Doll said. The man, whose name is not being released at this time, had surgery today and is expected to recover.
The incident appears to have stemmed from some type of altercation inside the club, Doll said.

No arrests have been made at this time, he said.
