There are a number of events and ways to honor those who died during their U.S. military service on Memorial Day in New Port Richey area.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — As Memorial Day approaches, here are some ways to honor the holiday and those who have died during their U.S. military service in Sarasota and Manatee counties:
Star Spangled Slammer
Circle S BBQ in Hudson hosts live wrestling by AMP Pro Wrestling & Training on May 19, 5 p.m. Cost is $15 per person. Kids under 5 are free.

Memorial Day Hockey Tournament
This annual Memorial Day hockey tournament May 24-27 at AdventHealth Center Ice in Wesley Chapel features five divisions of youth players - 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U.

Memorial Party Weekend at Sawmill
Sawmill Camping Resort, a gay and lesbian community in Dade City, hosts its Memorial Party Weekend May 24-27 to kick off the summer. There will be live bands, pool parties, contests and shows.
Rock & Brews Memorial Day Weekend
Rock & Brews in Lutz will host live music and honor all who have served over Memorial Day weekend, May 25-27.
Memorial Cookout
Ford of Port Richey, 10715 U.S. 19, Port Richey, will host a Memorial Day cookout and giveaway May 25, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. T
here will be prize giveaways, including Tampa Bay Rays’ tickets and merchandise. Marvelous Marvin from Hits 160 will be airing live from the dealership.
There will also be a birthday party for 13-year-old Joey, a foster child with Spina Bifida. The dealership asks guests to bring gifts and celebrate him.
Free Memorial Day Grilling
Harley-Davidson of New Port Richey, 5817 State Road 54, will host a free Memorial Day grilling event May 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be a Salute to the Military by The Santa Claus Drill Team, a nonprofit organization, at 10:45 a.m. and live music throughout the day.
Memorial Weekend Cookout
April Red Rocks will perform May 26, 4 to 7 p.m., at Dade City Moose Lodge 397 during a Memorial Weekend Cookout.
Live Music at Whiskey River
The R&B Project will perform on Memorial Day, May 27, 1 p.m., at Whiskey River on the Water in Port Richey.
