New Port Richey Man Accused of Rape

Marcus Granados was charged with sexual battery.

A New Port Richey area man has been arrested and charged with sexual battery.

A woman told a Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy that she woke up Monday, July 8, to find Marcus Granados, 21, atop of her and having sex with her, according to a sheriff's office arrest report. She told Granados to get off her and tried to sit up, but he pushed her back down, according to the report.

Granados told the deputies the woman had agreed to have sex with him and that they had both been severely intoxicated when she did. He said the woman became sober in the middle of the act and realized what was happening. She told him to get off and kicked him, he told deputies.
