New Port Richey Motorcyclist Dies From Injuries

Thomas Micklo has died from injuries he sustained after he lost control of his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, Florida Highway Patrol troopers say.

Micklo, 45, was riding his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle east on Trouble Creek Road at high speed at 7:33 p.m Tuesday. The bike went off the road while navigating a left curve at Rowan Road, troopers say. The bike traveled onto the grass shoulder and struck a raised water pipe.

Micklo was ejected off his bike and struck a raised concrete curb. His bike slid east and came to rest atop him.

Micklo, who had not been wearing a helmet, had been airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center.
