The Florida Highway Patrol has identified William R. Forrest, 71, of New Port Richey, as the motorcyclist killed when a car struck his bike in Trinity Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers say Manning had been driving east on Trinity Blvd Wednesday afternoon. Forrest had been driving west on Trinity.  As Manning turned north onto Tamarind from the left turn lane at the intersection, she failed to yield the right of way to Forrest, troopers say. Manning drove in front of the motorcycle, and her car collided with its front end. Forrest was ejected into the westbound lane.

Manning was wearing a seat belt during the crash. Forrest was not wearing a helmet.
