New Year's Eve 2022 In New Port Richey: Live Music, Dancing Champagne

Editor's Note: According to the National Weather Service, there's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, mainly after 2 p.m. with patches of fog occurring before 11 a.m. The chance of thunderstorms increases to 40 percent into the evening with patchy fog between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Be sure to contact the venue, especially if the event is taking place outdoors, to make sure it hasn't been canceled.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — While New Port Richey doesn't have a famous New Year's giant ball drop like Times Square in New York City or even a less familiar tradition like the giant Potato Drop in Boise, Idaho, there's still plenty of New Year's Eve happenings taking place in and around New Port Richey.

Here are some ways to celebrate the new year:

• The Social NPR, 5650 Main St., New Port Richey, will host a New Year's Eve party featuring Smooth D & The Boys on Saturday, Dec. 31, from 7:30 p.m. to Sunday, Jan. 1, at 2 a.m., with a champagne toast and party favors. Click here.
• The Social NPR will also host a Rooftop VIP New Year's Eve Party from Saturday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, Jan. 1 at 2 a.m. It will feature DJ Cease with classic and modern dance hits, a champagne toast at midnight, a dessert bar at 10 p.m. and party favors. Click here.

• The Bash on the Bayou will feature New Year's Eve parties at seven restaurants and bars in Port Richey and will feature five live bands along with a ball drop and champagne toast at midnight.
