The grant will help strengthen the Pack A Sack Food 4 Kids Program.
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — One Community Now announced the receipt of a significant grant from Suncoast Credit Union, amounting to $20,000, to bolster the Pack A Sack Food 4 Kids program. This grant represents a vital step forward in the ongoing mission to end childhood hunger and provide essential support to food-insecure children in Pasco County.
Suncoast Credit Union's commitment to the local community and their dedication to making a positive impact align seamlessly with One Community Now's vision for the Pack A Sack Food 4 Kids program. This vital program addresses the immediate needs of food-insecure school-age children, ensuring they have access to nutritious food over weekends and extended breaks.
The $20,000 grant will be allocated strategically to support various critical elements of the Pack A Sack Food 4 Kids program. These funds will primarily be directed toward the purchase of essential food supplies for the children. Additionally, the grant will cover personnel costs and transportation expenses, enabling timely delivery of food to schools and homes.
