Pair from Holiday Arrested After Car Chase

Chase ends in three-vehicle crash but no serious injuries.

Jennifer and Vincent Gambale, of Holiday, were booked into jail Wednesday after they fled from a Pasco Sheriff’s deputy in a stolen vehicle and crashed into two other vehicles in Odessa, deputies say.

There crash resulted in no serious injuries.

The chase began Wednesday morning at Little Road and State Road 54, where a deputy saw a suspicious-looking 1999 Buick four-door sedan in the Target parking lot. The Gambales told the deputy they ran out of gas. The deputy checked the car’s license plate and saw that it was registered as stolen. The car took off east on 54, and the deputy drove after it.

The 6-or 7-mile chase ended with the Buick crashing into a 96 Ford four-wheel drive and a blue Ford SUV under the Suncoast Parkway overpass.

Assisted by retired Tampa police officer Juan Ramos, a bystander, the Pasco deputy approached the vehicle to arrest the Gambales, a husband and wife who live at 3051 Bigelow Drive.

Jennifer Gambale, 30, has been charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license, fleeing to elude and grand theft. Vincent Gambale, 32, is being charged for being in violation of his probation. 

The Buick was reported stolen, along with other items, from a garage at 4005 Claremont Drive, Holiday, Monday, May 2. The suspects in that case have not been identified.

The Florida Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
