Pasco County To Open Cold Weather Shelters Sunday
For anyone needing shelter from the cold, Pasco County will open Cold Weather Shelters on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.

LAND O' LAKES - As a cold front moves through the Tampa Bay area, temperatures are expected to fall into the mid to low 30s Sunday night, creating dangerous conditions for anyone who will be outside for long periods of time. For anyone needing shelter from the cold, Pasco County will open Cold Weather Shelters on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.
In West Pasco: Families can call The United Way at 2-1-1; for individuals, Joining Hands Missions, 3333 U.S. Hwy 19 N, Suite 1, in Holiday can be contacted at 727.215.8084.
In East Pasco: people can call Restored Hope at 352.437.4815 before 6 p.m. Sunday. (Limited service); or Samaritan Project of Zephyrhills at 813.810.8670 before 9 p.m. Sunday. (Limited service; no pets.)

All Cold Weather Shelters will close on Monday, Dec. 11 at 7 a.m. Children, the elderly and pets are especially vulnerable to the cold and extra care should be taken to protect them, Pasco officials said.
