A Pasco County deputy was arrested and fired following a domestic dispute.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 43-year-old Pasco County deputy stands accused in a domestic battery case that led to her arrest and ultimate firing from the agency earlier this week.

According to the New Port Richey Police Department, an officer was called out to the home of Terra Darnell Winthrop following an argument that occurred the morning of Dec. 17. An arrest report states that Winthrop pushed her wife, Katrina Winthrop, and caused her to fall into a person who was holding a 4-month old child. Katrina Winthrop, the witness and the baby all fell to the floor, the reported noted.

Terra Winthrop was charged with simple domestic battery on Monday and booked into the Pasco County Jail. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that Terra Winthrop had been let go from her position.
