Pasco School Bus Driver Charged After Minor Crash
The bus, carrying Cotee River Elementary School students, hit a La Petite Academy bus. Nobody was injured.

The driver of a school bus carrying five school students was charged with careless driving after his vehicle was involved in a minor crash with a La Petite Academy school bus on Plathe Road, just east of Rowan Road, on Monday.
Students and drivers aboard the buses were uninjured, said Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
Robert Sundean was driving Pasco County School District bus #039 behind a La Petite Academy bus on Rowan Road at around 9:30 a.m. on Monday. The La Petite bus, a 14-passenger vehicle carrying six students, made a right turn onto Plathe road and stopped to accommodate halted traffic.

Sundean didn’t stop, and the front mirror of the Pasco school bus hit the rear window of the LaPetite bus.
Each bus carried students between the ages of 5 and 12. The students were transported to their schools after the crash.

Summer Romagnoli, spokesperson for Pasco County Schools, said that anytime there is an accident, an automatic safety review is triggered to determine what could have been done to avoid it.
“The Safety Review Committee, which consists of other bus drivers and administrators, makes any recommendations related to appropriate disciplinary action that may be necessary,” Romagnoli said
