Pasco Schools Closed Thursday Due To Expected Strong Winds From Nicole
Pasco County schools and offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 10, due to concerns over the high winds from Subtropical Storm Nicole.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County Schools Superintendent Browning announced Tuesday that all Pasco County schools and offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 10, due to concerns over the expected high winds from Subtropical Storm Nicole.
All before- and after-school programs will be closed on Thursday as well.
The decision was made after consulting with the Pasco County Emergency Operations Center.

Schools and offices will be open on Wednesday, and all after-hours extracurricular events are expected to go on as scheduled. At this time, the school district expects all schools and offices to reopen on Friday, Nov. 11.

This will not affect the one-week Thanksgiving break. The school district has not yet determined how and when the time will be made up.
Browning said Pasco County Schools will continue to track the path and severity of the storm, and will provide updates as appropriate via the school district website, social media and directly through emails and phone messages.
