PASCO COUNTY, FL — More than 1,300 local students used their creativity to promote water conservation during the 14th annual Pasco County Utilities and Florida Governmental Utility Authority Water Awareness Poster Contest.

In collaboration with Pasco County Schools, the water utilities hosted the competition to teach future generations about the importance of water and water conservation.

“Water plays such an important role in our lives and seeing the message of water conservation through a student’s eyes always gives a fresh, new perspective,” said Utilities Customer Information & Services Director Sandra Anderson, who also served as a judge. “It’s amazing to see how each student expresses what they’ve learned about the importance of water through their unique view and outstanding artwork.”
