The New Port Richey man remained behind bars Tuesday.

A New Port Richey man remained behind bars July 16 after being accused of slapping a woman and then attacking someone who offered her a ride.
Witnesses told a New Port Richey police officer that Raymond Odrain slapped a woman who was walking with him on Main Street July 15, according to an arrest report. The woman is the mother of Odrain’s child, according to the report.
A passerby offered the woman a ride, and the woman got into the vehicle. When she did, Odrain reached into the vehicle through the open door and grabbed her.
The driver got out of the vehicle and tried to get Odrain away from the girl he allegedly slapped. He punched the driver in the face.
Odrain was later located sleeping underneath a vehicle on Wyoming Avenue and arrested.
