Remains Of Missing Pennsylvania Woman Found In Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The remains of a missing Pennsylvania woman have been found in Pasco County, Pennsylvania State Police confirmed Wednesday in a tweet.

Jasmine Lynn Forbes, 31, of Shippensburg was reported missing on Feb. 23, 2022.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, after search efforts revealed she may have traveled to Florida, assistance was sought from the Pasco Sheriff's Office.

Investigative efforts led members of the sheriff's office to a property where they believed Forbes may have been harmed.

"An extensive search of the property uncovered human remains which later identified as that of Forbes," PSP said in a news release.

It wasn't immediately clear what led deputies to the property or if anyone has been arrested in connection with Forbes' death.

The Pennsylvania State Police said they are currently working with the Pasco Sheriff's Office to further the investigation. They also consider Forbes' death to be a homicide.
