School's Out for These Pasco Instructors

When the Pasco County school district handed out, campuses in New Port Richey, Trinity, Holiday and Elfers did not come out unscathed.

Here is an alphabetical listing of instructional position layoffs by school provided by the district. Numbers for school related personnel and administrators will be available at a later date, said Summer Romagnoli, the district’s spokeswoman. The following layoffs are categorized by annual contract and temporary service contract.

Anclote Elementary School

• Annual  Contract: 1 varying exceptionalities instructor (teaches exceptional student education)

Anclote High School

• Temporary Service Contract: 13 total. 4 varying exceptionalities teachers, 2 science teachers, 1 energy teacher, 1 teacher of EBD, 1 social studies teacher, 1 reading, 1 math, 1 language arts teacher, 1 foreign language teacher

Bayonet Point Middle School

• Temporary Service Contract:  9 total.  2 drop-out prevention instructors, 1 resource teacher, 2 math teacher, 1 language arts instructor, 1 varying exceptionalities instructor, 1 science teacher, 1 social studies teacher.

Calusa Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract: 2 elementary education teachers

Cotee River Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract: 2 elementary education teachers

Cypress Elementary School

• Annual Contract: 3 varying exceptionalities instructors

Deer Park Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract: 2 elementary education teachers

Gulfside Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract: 5 elementary education teachers, 1 speech pathologists
• Annual Contract: 1 varying exceptionalities instructor and 1 physical education instructor

Gulf Middle School

• Temporary Service Contract: 7 total. 1 guidance counselor, 1 intensive reading teacher, 1 reading, 1 art, social studies, 1 varying exceptionalities teacher, 1 math teacher, 1 science teacher

Gulf Trace Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract:  1 art teacher, 2 elementary education teachers

J.W. Mitchell High School

• Temporary Service Contract:  8 total. 2 Intensive reading teachers, 2 math teachers, 2 social studies teachers, 1 language arts teacher, 1 behavior specialist

James M. Marlowe Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract: 2 elementary education teachers

Longleaf Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract:  1 art teacher, 1 pre-K varying exceptionalities

Marchman Technical Education Center

• Temporary Service Contract: 1 Health adult education teacher

Mittye P. Locke Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract: 1 elementary education teacher, 1 physical education teacher

Moon Lake Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract: 8 total. 3 elementary education teachers, 2 varying exceptionalities teachers, 1 teacher of autistic students, 1 pre-kindergarten teacher, 1 guidance councilor
• Annual Contract: 1 art teacher

Richey Elementary School

• Temporary Service Contract: 1 Elementary education teacher, 1 varying exceptionalities teacher
