Starkey Park will have two very special visitors May 18. America's favorite monkey Curious George will come by to encourage kids to ride their bikes and stay active, while singer <a href="http://www.shanabanana.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Shana Banana</a> will entertain the crowd. The characters visit to town are a part of Pasco County's second annual Curious George Bike Day. The event encourages preschool-aged children to bring their bikes and ride around the park with Curious George on site. Shana Banana will perform at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Other activities include pet adoptions, cooking demonstrations and story time. "This is a free event encouraging 3-6 year olds and their families to get outdoors, get active and see what the park has to offer," said Alex Fasano, with Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department in an e-mail. The event is free and open to the public and runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Starkey Park, 10500 Wilderness Park Blvd. For more information, call 813-861-3033.
