Holiday Man Arrested for Repeat Stalking

Nicholas Watkins was out of jail on bond when deputies say he began stalking the same woman again.

Nicholas Watkins of Holiday was out of jail on bond July 12 when he began sending texts to a woman he knew.

Three days later, the number of texts totaled 62, according to an arrest report from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. Texts contained threats to kill the woman or her family, according to the report.

One sent July 15 read: “Here’s the deal yes  15 minutes to call me before I lose my *expletive* mind what happens after the 15 minutes depends on your move.'"

The next text sent that night read: “You ignore me. You made your bed now lie in it.”

The next text sent the same night read: “Got it back now it’s time for business.” He sent a photo of a gun.

Watkins, 29, had been in jail after being arrested and charged with aggravated stalking. The victim in that case was the same woman he had begun sending text messages to after his release. The woman had filed a domestic violence injunction against him.

After being told to turn himself in for the text messages, he was arrested July 18 and charged with aggravated stalking on and violation of pre-trial release. He was returned to the Land O' Lakes jail and remained there Friday.
