Stroke Awareness Class Offered At Nearby Hospital

Learn life-saving warning signs.

Do you know the early signs of a stroke, heart attack or blood clot? Knowing what to watch for could save your life or someone you know.

That's the message from a series taking place at Florida Hospital North Pinellas titled "Love Your Heart." The free 6-part series led by Dr. Elizabeth D. Carson includes information on early detection and the warning signs of strokes, heart attacks, and blood clots.

The third part of the series will take place on June 27 at the hospital just south of New Port Richey. Registration and blood pressure screenings begin at 10:30 a.m.; lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the lecture will begin at noon.

Space is limited and reservations are required. To register online, go to the hospital's website.
