FL Woman Dies On Impact In I-75 Crash, Troopers Say

A passenger was killed in a crash on Interstate 75 after the driver lost control and hit a tree early Sunday morning, FL troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A Tampa woman was killed in an early Sunday morning crash on Interstate 75 in Pasco County, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The crash happened south of State Road 52 just before 2 a.m.

A 30-year-old Tampa man was driving south on the interstate when he overtook another vehicle and had to take action to avoid a collision, FHP said.

He lost control of his car, which rotated to the highway shoulder and hit a tree.

His passenger, a 28-year-old woman, was killed on impact, FHP said.
