Tax Assessment Public Hearing Canceled In New Port Richey

Thursday's public hearing regarding the adoption of a non-ad valorem assessments by the city of New Port Richey has been canceled.

The public hearing that was scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. in the New Port Richey City Council Chambers regarding the adoption of a non-ad valorem assessment roll for assessments levied by the city of New Port Richey has been canceled.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The public hearing that was scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. in the New Port Richey City Council Chambers regarding the adoption of a non-ad valorem assessment roll for assessments levied by the city of New Port Richey has been canceled.

The city council voted to not move forward with the assessment.

However, the city council did vote in favor of moving forward with signing a contract with a single waste hauler, Waste Pro d/b/a JD Parker & Sons, which will be effective as of Jan. 1, 2024. Billing for that service has yet to be determined.
