Teen Brought A Gun To Pasco County School, Authorities Say

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 17-year-old could face charges after authorities said they brought a gun to a Pasco County high school.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, deputies on Tuesday responded to Gulf High School after receiving a report about a possible gun on the campus. Deputies quickly located the student and found a gun in their possession.

The school was briefly placed on lockdown during the incident.

Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the community, and the school has since resumed normal operations.

Charges are pending for the student, and the investigation remains ongoing.
