Teen Wanted in Holiday Home Invasion Robbery Captured

Breaking: Pasco County deputies say a teenage boy attacked an elderly man Friday morning.

HOLIDAY, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office says a 14-year-old boy who stands accused of beating an elderly man Friday morning, breaking into his home and stealing his wallet and pants is now in custody.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim was sitting on the front porch of his Devonshire Drive home in Holiday around 2:13 am. Sept. 23. At that time, deputies say Alexander Perez walked up to the man and hit him in the face several times.

“Detectives say Perez then pushed the victim into his house through the front door, and proceeded to the victim’s bedroom, where he continued to batter him,” an email from the agency said.

Perez is then accused of stealing the man’s wallet and pants. He reportedly left the home on foot. He was wearing a red shirt that says “Guapo” and white shorts, the email said.

Perez faces felony charges.

The victim suffered minor injuries, the sheriff’s office said, and was treated on the scene. The man’s name has not been released.
