Tesla Driver Dies After Multi-Car Crash In Pasco County
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. Friday on southbound I-75.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A Longboat Key man died Friday during a multi-car crash on Interstate 75 in Pasco County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on southbound I-75 near mile marker 277.
Authorities said the 69-year-old man was driving a Tesla Model S when he left his lane and collided with a Ford F150 pickup truck. According to police, the Tesla redirected and struck a Toyota Corolla, which then collided with a tractor-trailer.

Police said the Tesla continued south following the first two collisions before crashing into a second tractor-trailer.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Police said the six people in the other involved cars were not injured.
