Tips Sought on Robbery Suspects
Sheriff's deputies want information on man and woman who are believed to be connected to a couple robberies.
Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies released video Tuesday of an Aug. 30 armed robbery attempt at a Metro PCS store and are looking for information about two suspects caught on camera. The suspects are also believed to be involved in another armed robbery in August.
In the Aug. 30 robbery, a man and woman entered the 6139 State Road 54 store at 5:30 p.m. and demanded money from a store employee, according to an alert from the sheriff’s office.
The woman, who wore a white hat, handed the employee a note demanding money. The employee returned the note but did not hand over any money or merchandise, according to the alert.

The woman then showed the employee the pistol tucked in her pants, the alert said. The man was standing lookout at the store entrance during the incident.
The employee still did not hand over any money or merchandise. The suspects ran to another location without taking money or merchandise.

The two suspects are also thought to be involved in an Aug. 29 robbery at Thrifts and More Store at 6615 U.S. 19 in New Port Richey.
In that case, the man and woman walked into the store, and the man threatened the clerk with a weapon, according to the sheriff’s office. The two fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
