"Hello? What are you doing?" she asks through the Ring camera.
"We are here to finalize the eviction," a deputy responds.
"What eviction?" Michele snaps back.
"It was posted a week ago. It was posted last week," the deputy answers
"On my house?" Michele responds.
"Yes, ma'am," the deputy says.
Michele proceeds to tell the deputies that she is caught up on her bills and that no one has served her an eviction notice. She also added that her dogs were in the house.
That's when the deputy asks for her last name, walks away and appears to realize he and the other officers were at the wrong house. That officer returns to her front door and admits the mistake.
"We do apologize. We have the wrong house," the deputy says into the Ring doorbell. "It's the next-door neighbor's. What we're going to have to do is, they're going to have to repair the lock."
In a follow-up TikTok video, Michele said when she got back to her house, her lock had been ripped out, and the deputies were over at her neighbor's house. She said one of them came over to talk about the incident.
"I was pacing. I was so angry. I asked him, Who is responsible for reading the numbers on the house?' He told me that they all are. So there are three of them that read the numbers incorrectly."
After demanding the deputies get her a new lock and key, Michele said she couldn't help but ponder, "What if?"
"What if I didn't have a Ring? What if I didn't check my Ring? What if I was out of town, and that is the part that baffles me because I could have came home from lunch and my key wouldn't have gone in the lock. I would have no idea why because they didn't put a note on the evicted house's door," she said.
Despite the false alarm, Michele said everything is now fine.
"Everything could have been so much worse than it actually was," she said.
Michele said the deputies even bought her, her daughter and mom lunch for mistakenly showing up at the wrong house.
Pasco Sheriffs Office’s spokesperson Amanda Hunter told the Tampa Bay Times that the agency was aware of the situation and is reviewing the incident.
