Wandering Donkey Rescued Along I-75: FL Highway Patrol

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A donkey was rescued after being found wandering along Interstate 75 Wednesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol shared in a post to X, formerly Twitter.

The donkey was found just north of Overpass Road, wandering along the highway’s shoulder, in Pasco County.

State troopers, road rangers and two nurses responded to assist the donkey on I-75.

“After a little donkey whispering (and) wrangling, the donkey was successfully returned to a nearby pasture,” FHP said.
