Wrong-Way Crash Results In DUI Arrest
A 26-year-old New Port Richey man faces DUI charges following a wrong-way crash that resulted in serious injuries.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol has announced the arrest of a New Port Richey man after toxicology reports came back in relation to a serious injury crash that occurred in November.
According to the agency, test results showed that Richard Sandora, 26, had a blood alcohol content of 0.22, nearly three times the legal limit, during a Nov. 6, 2016, crash.
The crash that led to Sandora’s May 2017 arrest occurred around 3 a.m. Nov. 6 on State Road 52. Troopers say Sandora was driving a 2002 Dodge Stratus eastbound in the westbound lanes at the time. As Sandora traveled east of Hays Road, Aaron Vetter, 22, of New Port Richey was heading west in the proper lane in a Nissan Maxima.
