Georgia Fugitive Charged with Possession of Meth in Palm Harbor

Jail records say the suspect had three clear baggies of meth on him at the time of a traffic stop.

A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of Georgia fugitive Joshua Groff on charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation in Palm Harbor.

According to Pinellas County Jail records, 29-year-old Groff was originally stopped for an unassigned tag at 3:08 a.m. on Feb. 15. He consented to a search, which is when the sheriff's deputy found a small blue container in his right front pants pocket that held two clear baggies of crystalline powder and one baggie of powder in his backpack.

Field test samples from each bag tested positive for methamphetamine, authorities said.
