Pets of the Week: Ollie the Collie and Whiskers the Cat

These lovable Suncoast Animal League residents are in need of a home and some love!

Ollie the Collie

Ollie was just a young pup when he was first adopted. He did his best to please his owners and by all accounts, he did a pretty good job. It must have come as quite a surprise to him to suddenly come back to the League after nearly a year and a half. The reason....”a change of lifestyle.”

Now the 50lb. sable and white, short-haired dog with Collie markings must start all over again.

This time we know more about him than we did as a puppy. Ollie loves attention. He is very playful and going to the dog park is one of his favorite things to do. Ollie is housebroken, loves children and is good with other dogs, as well as, cats. And car rides are cool!

Ollie still doesn't quite get what's going on or how this happened. We don't really understand either but we will all make the best of his stay with us. And hopefully, it will be a short stay for Ollie the Collie mix has some good things to do.

Whiskers the Tabby cat

Whiskers is a 2 yr old brown tabby cat who was brought to Suncoast when his owner could no longer keep him.

He has a pretty face, with markings that make him look a bit like a regal Bengal mix.  He can be a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly and is an affectionate guy.  He's a lap cat who loves to be with people.  He's good with kids, but we haven't tested him with many cats or dogs yet.
