Catholic diocese tackles affordable housing crisis with 9 new tiny homes in Pensacola (weartv.com) — Nine new tiny homes on Garden Street in Pensacola will soon offer low-cost housing, with rent targeted around $500 including utilities for residents in greatest need. Funded entirely by private donations to the Catholic Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, the Trinity Village project will also provide case management, counseling, and help with IDs and benefits to support long-term stability.
   

2. Precautionary boil water notice issued for Marcus Drive in Pensacola (weartv.com) — If you live on Marcus Drive in Pensacola, you’re under a precautionary boil water notice after a six-inch main break, so boil tap water for at least one minute before drinking or cooking. Emerald Coast Utilities Authority has repaired the line and is testing for bacteria, a process expected to take about 48 hours, and residents may see temporary discoloration while flushing their home plumbing.

Federal and state agencies say the case, which uncovered drugs and guns in his room, is part of a broader effort to curb violent drug crime in local communities.
