A new Calming Seas Sensory Space, funded by an IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area grant, offers a quiet, therapeutic area, while expanded interactive displays invite children to explore Pensacola’s history through play.
   

2. Pensacola man arrested for DUI manslaughter in fatal Escambia crash (pnj.com) — A Pensacola resident has been arrested on a DUI manslaughter charge after a Sunday evening crash on State Road 173 in Escambia County left one person dead. Troopers say his vehicle crossed the center line and hit two southbound cars, and court records show he has a prior DUI and multiple careless driving citations in the county.
   

3. Pensacola woman sentenced in tax fraud, identity theft case (wkrg.com) — A Pensacola woman has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for preparing false tax returns and committing identity theft over several years. Prosecutors say she falsified deductions and credits, changed her business name during an IRS probe, and used another person’s ID to obtain a tax preparer number, and she must repay more than $400,000.
   

4. Angel musician celebrates 50 years as organist at First Presbyterian Church in Pensacola (weartv.com) — A beloved musician is celebrating 50 years playing organ and directing music at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Pensacola, while also shaping generations of students through local schools, theater, and the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra. Colleagues say her steady presence even helped hold the congregation together during leadership gaps, and her dedication was recently honored with a special Steinway piano.
   

5. 10 Cheapest Places in the U.S. to Fly in 2026 — Best Life (bestlifeonline.com) — Pensacola makes a national list of the cheapest U.S. cities to fly to in 2026, with average fares around $108 in September and October. For locals, that means both incoming visitors and your own getaways could be more affordable if you time bookings right and stay flexible on dates and departure airports.
