43-Year-Old Man Killed In Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota police are withholding the name of a 43-year-old man who died over the weekend after being stabbed.

Genevieve Judge of the Sarasota Police Department said the man's identity was being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.

"The circumstances surrounding the stabbing are still under investigation," Judge said on Monday. "Sarasota Police detectives are working to speak with additional witnesses."

The incident occurred outside a 7-Eleven store on Saturday at 10 South Lime Ave. Police believe another man was involved in the stabbing but he was not identified.

"Sarasota Police detectives believe this is an isolated incident and the public is not in any danger," the agency said.
