5 People, Including 3 Teens, Were Seriously Injured In A FL Crash
A Tuesday afternoon crash left five people, including three teenagers, seriously injured, Florida Highway Patrol said.
SARASOTA, FL — Five people were seriously injured, including two teenagers, in a Fruitville Road crash on Tuesday afternoon, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
A 28-year-old Sarasota man driving a pickup truck east on State Road 780, east of Laceleaf Boulevard, failed to stay in his lane just after 1 p.m.
He entered the westbound lane and hit the front of an SUV driven by a 68-year-old Naples woman.

Both drivers were seriously injured, as were three teenage passengers in the SUV — a 16-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, FHP said.
