Dog of the Week: Andy Needs a Home

Andy is a Pointer mix boy who is 6 years old and would love a permanent home.

Andy, weighing just under 50 pounds, came to from Sarasota County Animal Services, but the shelter is not sure where he came from before then.

No one ever came looking for Andy, so he really jumped at the chance to go to a shelter where they spend so much time walking and playing with him.

Andy is outgoing, playful, and strong, so he needs to go to a home with children no younger than 10 years old, as he'd be too much for little ones.

Crate and obedience classes would be essential in making Andy a good member of your family.

Andy has a start at HSSC on the obedience classes – thanks to some dedicated volunteers, he's a regular at manners class, and he loves it.
