Rosemary District to Welcome New Seafood Restaurant

Lefty’s Oyster & Seafood Bar is the latest eatery to move into Sarasota’s Rosemary District.

The seafood restaurant, a new brand by Watershed Hospitality Concepts, will open Monday on Lemon Avenue, the Business Observer reported.

Watershed also operates Main Street’s Cask & Ale and Pie on Main in downtown Sarasota and Siesta Key’s Blase Martini Bar + 3.14 Pi Pizza.

Among its various seafood offerings is a marine cuisine board with rotating specialty oysters and fin fish.

Three Restaurants Open at New Airport Terminal

The new Concourse A, a 75,000-square-foot terminal that recently opened at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, brings three new dining options to travelers, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Sarasota To Go offers grab-and-go sandwiches and Peet’s Coffee, while downtown Sarasota’s Patrick’s 1481 opened a sit-down restaurant serving American fare.

Local chain Anna Maria Oyster Bar also opened a restaurant and bar in the new terminal.

Two South Tampa Restaurants Expanding into Sarasota

Two popular South Tampa restaurants are expanding south into Sarasota.

Chef Chris Ponte plans to open Olivia, a modern Italian restaurant, and On Swann, serving contemporary American cuisine, locations in the University Town Center area, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported.

The restaurants will move into back-to-back spaces in a new development being built from the ground up.

Flemings Opening in Manatee County

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will open its new Manatee County location on Feb. 10, the Bradenton Herald reported.

It will open at 8306 Tourist Center Drive, Bradenton, the former Ruby Tuesday location.
