Marina Jack, Fireworks to ring in New Year

Don't let your expectations drop for New Year's Eve celebrations in Sarasota since there won't be a pineapple drop.

Marina Jack will have an extensive list of events for the day and night, ending with and Suncoast Charities for Children.

The dining room will be open at 4 p.m., for a seating through 7 p.m. and a second seating at 8:45 p.m. with a special four course menu, including party favors and a champagne toast at midnght. Reservations are suggested.

The Big Z Band will perform from 10 p.m. to 2 am. 

A four course dinner package will be offered in the Deep Six Lounge and Palm Room. Customers in the Palm Room will have access to the dining room entertainment. Rock Lee will perform starting at 6 p.m..

At the Portside Patio, Chris Otto will play from 4 to 8 p.m., the reggae band Democracy will play from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Advance reservations will be available for groups of six or more will be subject to $10 cover charge per person, which will be added to their check

The Marina Jack II will have a cruise from 8:30 p.m. 12:30 a.m. Boarding begins at 8 p.m.

This cruise will features Serengeti, party favors, champagne toast at midnight, buffet featuring beef tenderloin, lump crab cakes and dessert. The price for the cruise is $149.95 plus tax (gratuity included). The full bar on board is not included in the package price.
