Name Released of Pedestrian Killed on US 41
Sarasota Police say David Michael Diangelo, a 50-year-old homeless man, was killed after he was hit by a car.
Sarasota Police say the along Tamiami Trail is David Michael Diangelo, who was homeless.
Police released the man's identity Wednesday afternoon after contacting his family. The 50-year-old was born in Detroit, police said.
No charges have been filed and the crash remains under investigation, police said.

Police say the pedestrian was attempting to cross Tamiami Trail at about 6:45 p.m. Sunday just south of Bee Ridge and Bay roads, and was hit by a southbound pickup truck.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to notify Officer Bales at 941-364-7323.
