PAL Half Marathon Races Through Sarasota Today
Race benefits Police Athletic League of Sarasota County and starts at 7 a.m.
The second annual Police Athletic League Half Marathon will run on Palmer Ranch in Sarasota this morning starting at 7 a.m.
The race will start at Westfield Sarasota Square Mall
At least 550 registered runners representing 18 states will navigate the course, which is also a New York City Marathon qualifier.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office says the race is becoming a destination race where folks come from all over to lend support to racers in their families during the Thanksgiving weekend.
