Pig Missing During Hurricane Returns To Sarasota Museum, Nature Center
"Goofball" Pigpig was a victim of bullying by a smaller pig when he left his pen at the Crowley Museum during Hurricane Idalia, staff said.

SARASOTA, FL — After disappearing Wednesday during Hurricane Idalia, Pigpig the pig has returned to Crowley Museum & Nature Centerin Sarasota.
“Our wayward son is home,” the museum wrote in a Facebook post. “We were so happy to see this adorable feller.”
The “goofball," full-grown, adopted Piney rooter “came running up to me” Thursday, Dixie Resnick, CEO, told Patch. “He was probably on the property the whole time.”

Once he returned, Crowley’s staff learned the reason Pigpig escaped.
“We have a serious case of bullying,” the museum wrote. “Irman, the black Piney rooter, was very mean to our boy. Pigpig is bigger and has impressive tusks, but Irman is just…mean to him. He’s the dominant pig.”
