Video of Brotherton Murder Suspect Released
James Brotherton is shown in surveillance footage from Bank of America with a man in dark clothing.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify the man seen with James Brotherton shortly before he was murdered on Nov. 21 by releasing footage of Brotherton with the suspect.
Surveillance photos and this video show Brotherton, 49, of Port Charlotte, and a man in black clothing at the ATM at 11:49 p.m.
Brotherton was shot about four minutes later at Curtiss Avenue and Gulf Gate Drive and his body was found there at 12:30 a.m., by a deputy on routine patrol.

His vehicle was located near Stickney Point Road and Gateway Drive around 5:20 a.m.
