Seven-Vehicle Crash Shut Down Section Of I-75 N: FL Highway Patrol
Three people were injured in a seven-vehicle crash that has snarled traffic on Interstate 75 north in Venice, Florida Highway Patrol said.

VENICE, FL — A seven-vehicle crash has shut down a section of Interstate 75 north in Venice Monday, authorities said.
The crash happened at 10:37 a.m. at mile marker 187, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The interstate’s northbound lanes were shut down at mile marker 184, North Port Fire Rescue wrote in a Facebook post.
The scene has since been cleared, according to FHP's Live Traffic Crash and Road Condition Report.

Three people were injured, the agency said. Trauma alert crews “are busy on scene with an extended extrication.”
Delays are expected in the area and drivers are asked to take a different route.
