Woman Shot While Driving on 27th Street, Authorities Say

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting of a woman in the 2700 Block of 27th Street in Sarasota, authorities report.

The victim was reportedly shot around 3 p.m. Saturday while driving her vehicle from a residence on 27th Street. She was transported to the hospital for apparently non-life threatening injuries, authorities report.

Sheriff's deputies found the woman at the intersection of 27th Street Parkway and Galleon Place after receiving a report of a female being shot, according to a media release.

Authorities are looking for three suspects at this time. The two male suspects and one female suspect, may have been in a newer model dark blue Chrysler passenger car, authorities report.
