Tickets On Sale For 2017 Taste of Downtown Food & Wine Festival

SARASOTA, FL – For the fourth straight year, Sarasota Opera will present an afternoon featuring a taste of the downtown area as well as a taste of its musical genre.

Tickets are on sale now for the fourth annual Taste of Downtown Food & Wine Festival, which is set to take place on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Sarasota Opera House, located at 61 N. Pineapple Ave.

The event, which has sold out in its first three years, is a fundraiser for the Sarasota Youth Opera. Since its inception, Taste of Downtown has raised more than $50,000 to support its programming for the most comprehensive youth opera in the United States.

“This annual gathering of neighbors has become a wonderful tradition of celebrating downtown Sarasota while supporting a very important program in our community,” said Richard Russell, the executive director of Sarasota Opera. “We are grateful for the continued participation of restaurants, sponsors and patrons that makes this event such a success.”

Each attendee will receive a custom-designed wine glass upon check-in, and will have the opportunity sample Sarasota’s culinary samples, fine wines and craft bears. The Sarasota Youth Opera will serenade guests with a live performance.
