Worker Rescued From Side Of Sarasota Building
Emergency crews have rescued a construction worker from the 17th floor of a Tamiami Trail building.

SARASOTA, FL — A construction worker left dangling outside the 17th floor of a North Tamiami Trail building Sunday morning has been successfully rescued. Sarasota County Emergency Services made the announcement around 12:20 p.m. June 11.
Few details about the accident are available at this time. The Sarasota Police Department said its officers were assisting with traffic control in the area of 1 N. Tamiami Trail as rescuers devised a way to save the worker. Authorities say motorists may want to avoid the area for a while as emergency crews remained on scene.
