According to two other people in the vehicle, the woman had just left a music recording studio in the Chamberlain Plaza. At the same time, a teen party was taking place at another venue in the plaza.
The witnesses told police that a dark-colored vehicle entered the parking lot, and shots were fired toward the car by two people in the parking lot. The woman, who was not connected to the party or the shooters, was caught in the line of fire, police said.
