FLORIDA — It was a tragic week for animals. A Clearwater woman was accused of burning down her house with her pets inside, Polk County deputies said a man accused of burglarizing a house killed the homeowners' puppy with a machete and Clearwater police arrested a man after witnesses reported he was having sex with a dog outside an apartment building. To complete the theme, an Odessa man was arrested after being accused of slapping a police horse’s butt and a man died after striking a cow with his SUV on State Road 70.
